Eroticon and St. Wenceslas outside of Měšťanská beseda
A silent film classic under the night sky with live music - a new addition to the program this year. Two extraordinary silent films will be screened in the Kopeckého sady next to Měšťanská beseda. The music, composed especially for this occasion, will be performed live by two popular DJs and transmitted to the viewers through provided headphones. Eroticon, an exceptional film by Gustav Machatý, will be accompanied by DJ Bartesky’s unique combination of electro music and swing on Friday, April 20, at 9 p. m. Tuzex Christ will take over the DJ seat the very next evening, April 21, to present his music score for the 1929 Saint Wenceslas which was made at the suggestion of the President, T. G. Masaryk, for the millennial anniversary of the Czech patron’s death. It was the most epic film of that time with hundreds of extras and the biggest film set structures in the 1920s Europe
