Lenka Tyrpáková is the new Artistic Director

The Finále team has a new addition. Lenka Tyrpáková will now take care of the festival programme and the curatorial selection of the best that was produced (not only) in the Czech cinema. She had worked at the Karlovy Vary IFF since 2005 until this year as a programmer and a member of the selection committee, focusing on Central and Eastern European cinema. At KVIFF, she also participated in the selection of projects for the industry platform, Eastern Promises. Since 2008, she has been working as a programmer at the Pragueshorts film festival. In 2022-2023, she was a member of the LUX Audience Award selection committee at the European Parliament. She collaborates with the Czech Film Centre on the selection of short films for the Czech Shorts collection and nominations for the Magnesia Award. She is a member of the expert committee for minority projects at the Slovak Audiovisual Fund. Since 2021, she has participated in the selection of short films at the Finále Festival. She has served on the juries of numerous international festivals and is a member of the European Film Academy.
